It's been a busy couple of days. Firstly I had my work Christmas party on Friday night and although I had previously decided not to drink, my resolve was weak and I caved in. Several vodkas later, I find myself at the bar drinking shots with a bunch of work mates......oh well, I'll try harder tomorrow......but in the meantime, it's time to boogy the night away on the dance floor!!
The next morning came around quicker than expected and considering I got very little sleep, I was up and heading for the gym before I could talk myself out of it. Funnily enough, I didn't have a hangover and just got on with my day, as per usual. I was also active on Sunday morning with another gym session, which made me feel fantastic and helped me choose the right foods for the day.
I have to say (and it's only hindsight that enables me to do this) gaining weight last week has really helped my state of mind this week. I have been on the brink of over eating for a number of weeks now and because I still lost weight, maybe half a pound or a pound at a time, it was enough for me to be in denial.
But now I'm really aware of my WW points total after lunch and that has helped me decide what I should have for dinner etc. I'm even trying to eat less chocolate and I'm aware of the number of days that I don't exercise plus I'm making a strong effort to drink my eight glasses of water per day.
Fingeres crossed that weigh in this Thursday will be a successful result, otherwise I will not be too pleased.
